TOMIS Acquires New Zealand-based Tech Company Yonder!
Today the TOMIS team is thrilled to announce that we have officially acquired Yonder, a technology company focused on building cutting-edge customer experience and communication software for tour operators. Based in New Zealand, the Yonder product is a natural extension of our work here at TOMIS, providing innovative, data-driven marketing solutions and exceptional customer experiences for tour operators around the globe.
In addition to the acquisition, we recently closed our largest investment round to-date, led by Golden Section. These funds will further fuel AI product development as well as bolster our marketing and sales efforts.
Our Journey Here
TOMIS was founded when CEO Evan Tipton set out to build a business that empowered tour operators to own their digital marketing, make data-driven decisions, and increase revenue. Thus TOMIS was born in Missoula, Montana in late 2017.
Across the world, but facing the same set of challenges, Yonder cofounders James Donald and Letitia Stevenson saw an opportunity to bring leading-edge technology to help tourism operators work smarter, not harder, with the vision of revolutionizing sales and customer service in tourism.
Individually both companies have saved tour operators thousands of hours, generated millions in revenue for clients, and pushed the travel industry forward at every opportunity. They have navigated the ever-evolving landscape of conversational AI and created products to simplify and streamline all aspects of the customer journey for their clients.
Together we know we’ll only make each other better.
“We are thrilled to join forces with TOMIS,” said James Donald, co-founder of Yonder. “This partnership will enable us to enhance our product offerings and serve a truly global market with teams on both sides of the world.”
Commitment to Customer Success
“We are excited to welcome Yonder into the TOMIS ecosystem,” said Evan Tipton, CEO of TOMIS. “This acquisition allows us to combine our strengths and deliver even greater value to our customers. With Yonder’s innovative technology and our industry expertise, we are well-positioned to further support the growth and success of tour operators globally.”
Letitia Stevenson, Yonder co-founder added, “With TOMIS’ support, we’re excited to take our innovative solutions to the next level and help more tour operators achieve their goals.”
For now, the two businesses will operate as usual, ensuring tour operators don’t experience any disruptions as we head into the busiest time for travel in the North American season. Both TOMIS and Yonder will continue to operate as standalone brands, ensuring continuity and stability for their existing customers, while benefiting from our shared resources and industry expertise.
Looking Ahead
The union of TOMIS and Yonder promises to deliver enhanced solutions and greater value to our customers. By integrating our strengths, we’re set to push the boundaries of what’s possible in the tourism technology sector. We’re deeply committed to listening to our customers and incorporating their feedback into future product development.
As we embark on this new journey together with Yonder, the future looks brighter than ever for tour operators seeking innovative solutions to drive their success. Stay tuned for more updates as this dynamic partnership evolves and continues to make waves in the tourism industry.
Thank you for being a part of our community and for your continued support!
